Candlewood

Candlewood was the beginning of really big McCurdy Wiffle Ball- lots of family, neighbors, friends and lots of games. It was the first time we used the house itself for our Home Run barrier- one run for against the house, two if you hit the roof, and three for over the roof to the front yard.

This was also when we developed rules for the younger kids- we stretched an extension cord a few yards past the pitcher’s mound and used that for the pre-teens as their home run line. Once they were hitting consistently past that line, they moved up to the pros and used the house just like the adults.
