Brendan and Logan

We were all anticipating Webster 2013- it was, after all, the 40th anniversary of the creation of McCurdy Wiffle Ball, and to make it even more fun, Kevin was bringing Brendan and Logan together for the first time. What better way to commemorate the perfect sport than by introducing it, and our Webster experience, to our newest members? They sure looked cute and we were all looking forward to introducing the lads to our Webster traditions, taking them in hand and gently guiding them along the way so that one day, in future years, they would be able to partake in the entire experience.

“Hi everybody! We’re here!”

It didn’t quite work out that way.

Instead, they stomped on in, ate our White Castle hamburgers, bought crap at the grocery store, hit home runs in McCurdy Wiffle Ball, and even out-fished us. It was like a herd of tiny T-Rex carnivores had escaped some kind of pygmy Jurassic Park and gorged themselves on our stunned carcasses while we stood there, blinking and dazed like prehistoric sheep. They weren’t there even 24 hours before they were running around with their Uncle Tim’s severed head on a stick, screaming, “HOW DO YOU LIKE THEM APPLES?” (We convinced them to return Tim’s head but allowed them to keep his brain in a jar, so no real damage was done.)

Did I mention how cute they were? Of course, they never returned Tim’s brain when they left, but no harm, no foul.

"Hi everybody! We're here!"

“Oh boy! Archery! Can I play?”
